Here’s how much extra India has to pay for buying the Apple
iPhone 6S
Not that we needed any confirmation but numbers have made it evident that iPhone 6S in India is going to cost you a lot more money than other countries. Priced at Rs 62,500 for the iPhone 6S 16GB model, the new iPhone series will start selling later this week via the ongoing pre-order process.

The aforementioned price figuratively translates into $976 (approx) which is way above the $649 price tag of unlocked iPhone 6S 16GB variant in the US. Apple has never viewed India as a pivotal market for its future prospects but there's been a change of heart recently which reflected with the Apple Music and iCloud price revisions for the country.

This latest development takes us back to the theory that Apple is and always will cater itself to the upper echelons of our society who prefer experience over value. What's even more staggering about the pricing revelation is that Indian consumers will be seen paying for 16GB 6S, more than what their US counterparts will pay for the 128GB iPhone 6S Plus model ($949 approx).

The country has been proliferated with Make in India campaign which has induced brands like Samsung, Xiaomi and Lenovo among others to manufacture products in the country. While this may not affect their overall pricing structure but surely could help in delivering stocks faster.

This isn't the first time when the iPhone has been priced exorbitantly for India. Last year, the iPhone 6 started from Rs 56,000 and this year's 6,500 increase has been blamed on the overall currency situation but we're not falling prey to that again.

Nevertheless, the thing with Apple fanatics is that no matter what (prices) Apple throws at them, they seem to be prepared for it. We wait for October 16 to see if they've been mesmerized by Apple yet again or will they resort to buying from other market and use option. What would you do? Let us know in the comments below.
