A day after Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun teased the impending arrival of a new “Xiaomi Note device” on June 29th, a new image has appeared on the internet that points to the presence of a fingerprint scanner on this very device, in all probability the Redmi Note 2.

The image shared by user @leaksfly allegedly shows the back of the upcoming device, with its construction being strikingly different from the current Redmi Note phablet.
One can make out the metal frame as well as the fingerprint sensor (if it were to be so) placed below the rear camera lens.
Rumor has it that the Redmi Note 2 will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD Dispay (1920 x 1080px resolution) and be powered by MediaTek’s Helio X10 processor. Some reports even claim the Redmi Note 2 as being powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor.
Other specifications would most likely include a 13MP primary camera, a 5MP front camera and a 3000+ mAh battery.
The phone will no doubt run on Android 5.0 Lollipop upon launch, with Xiaomi’s custom MIUI 6 skin on top.
